Quiz – Champions of Chennai 2025

KSA Trust, for the first time, conducted a written quiz competition for middle school students across Chennai during June and July 2025. The quiz was expertly curated by Dr. Navin Jayakumar of the Quiz Foundation of India, who is also the recipient of the Champion of Chennai Award for Education – 2023.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from 27 schools, with 531 teams and a total of 1,512 students competing. During the program, the students were made aware of the Champions of Chennai Initiative. They were each given a story card containing brief information about the Champions Initiative and how to nominate them. They were also encouraged to visit our website to learn more about the past champions.

The winners of the Quiz were felicitated with gift vouchers and a plaque by the Chief Guest, Major General M.Indrabalan (Retd), Former Chief of Staff – Dakshin Bharat Area, at our Annual Champions of Chennai award function on the 17th of August 2025.

KSN Senior Secondary School, Thiruvanmyur, emerged as the winner while Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Chetput, was the first runner-up. Shree Venkateswarar Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Royapettah, and Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School, T.Nagar, shared the second runner-up position.

We propose to conduct this Quiz program annually and raise more awareness among the younger generation about “Champions of Chennai.”
